最牛鐘點(diǎn)工——同聲傳譯專業(yè)英國強(qiáng)校PK

學(xué)習(xí)同聲傳譯專業(yè)，屬英國最正宗。威久留學(xué)專家表示，一般對于中國學(xué)生來講，申請英國大學(xué)的同聲傳譯專業(yè)，大多都是申請的是中英/英中翻譯。那么，英國大學(xué)中同聲傳譯專業(yè)哪些學(xué)校比較強(qiáng)勢呢?

巴斯大學(xué) University of Bath

首先，Bath。它的同聲傳譯Simultaneous Interpretation屬于European Studies & Modern Languages(歐洲研究和現(xiàn)代語言)，它的專業(yè)名稱是：MA in Interpreting and Translating，分為兩個方向：

1. 以英語為母語的人學(xué)的(Path 1 allows students with English as their A language to offer two other languages - from Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian and Spanish - working only into English);

2. 英語為母語的或者以中文、法語、德語、意大利語、俄語和西班牙語為母語的人，以學(xué)習(xí)英語與自己母語的互相翻譯。

入學(xué)要求是：1. Good Honors Degree (平均分80分以上) ;2. 語言要求：雅思7.0，單科不低于6.0。有專門的Chinese Stream，另外，在滿足了上述基本要求后，學(xué)生還要經(jīng)過學(xué)校的口語和書面語的篩選和面試，以保證學(xué)校的錄取人員的高水平。這個專業(yè)只招收最多24個人，小班上課(6-10人)，學(xué)校會提供可能的實(shí)習(xí)機(jī)會。而且，讀完一年的課程后，學(xué)生還要經(jīng)過考試以判定得到MA學(xué)位還是Diploma。

同屬于European Studies & Modern Languages系的還有另外一個與翻譯相關(guān)的專業(yè)MA in Translation and Professional Language Skills，但是這個專業(yè)是為英語為母語的人設(shè)的，不適合中國人讀，而且它也不包含同聲傳譯課程，而是主要偏重于translation, editing and revision, précis writing, liaison interpreting and proofreading. The programme also covers real-world skills such as translation management and setting up in business as a translator。

Newcastle的Simultaneous Interpretation隸屬于School of Modern Languages(現(xiàn)代語言系)，這個系下屬十二個專業(yè)(International Film: History, Theory and Practice MA and PGDip;Interpreting MA(兩年制，第一年是Graduate Diploma, 若滿足了入學(xué)條件，則進(jìn)入第二年的MA課程，目標(biāo)是在市場、商業(yè)、科技、國際關(guān)系和傳媒方向的翻譯);

Interpreting and Translating Studies Integrated PhD(博士學(xué)位，3-4年，要有翻譯方面的碩士Dip或MA，中英方面);

Latin American Interdisciplinary Studies MA;Linguistics and Language Acquisition MA(一年，側(cè)重于語言學(xué)和研究技巧);

Linguistics of European Languages MA;

Modern Languages MLitt; MPhil; PhD;

Professional Translating for European Languages MA;

Translating Graduate Diploma;Translating MA(兩年制，同Interpreting);

Translating and Interpreting MA;

Translation Studies MA(傾向于研究方面，要學(xué)兩年，第一年只能拿一個Diploma，若符合條件才能進(jìn)入下一年的MA課程))，可見其語言學(xué)方面的強(qiáng)勢。而我們要申請的Simultaneous Interpretation在Translating Graduate Diploma里，而不是MA，而要得到MA，則要在Translating Graduate Diploma之后再讀MA Translating and Interpreting課程。而這個Diploma課程的入學(xué)要求是：You need a BA degree with a minimum average of 75 per cent (or GPA 2.75) on your transcript or an upper-second-class Honors degree or higher. Non-degree holders, such as holders of Junior College Diplomas, should have three years’ relevant work experience. Native speakers of Chinese or Japanese require an English language score of at least IELTS 7.0, with no less than 6.0 in any one skill. 口語和寫作不低于6.5。Newcastle適合想要讀兩年得到MA的申請者。

利茲大學(xué) university of leeds

第三，Leeds。Leeds有自己的Translation Studies系，有六門不同的MA課程，其中有Simultaneous translating課程包含在Conference Interpreting and Translation Studies里，要求是IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with at least 7.0 in speaking and 6.0 in all other components，Academic entry req：Usually a BA (Honours) degree, 2:1(80分以上) classification or equivalent in a language-based subject. 還要參加考試。馬上咨詢>>>

索爾福德大學(xué)salford university

第四，Salford。 索爾福德的同傳課程包含在MA/PgDip Interpreting and Translating這門課程里，但是這門課程主要面向以英語、法語、德語和西班牙語為母語的申請者，如果不是以這幾門語言為母語的申請者，則需提供證據(jù)證明自己的英語非常高的熟練度。它的官網(wǎng)上并沒說明這個熟練度的程度，即雅思成績。馬上咨詢>>>

總體來說，Salford的語言系School of Languages還是很強(qiáng)的，光碩士學(xué)位課程就有七門，其中還有專門針對中英文互譯的課程。但是simultaneous interpretation同聲傳譯這門課是包含在Interpreting and Translating的選修課程里的，而且沒有中文方向的，所以不適合中國人去讀。適合中國人讀的是：MA/PgDip Chinese/English/Chinese Translation和MA/PgDip Chinese/English/Chinese Translation with Interpreting。

第五：Westminster，布萊爾的貼身翻譯林超倫在校教同傳。同傳課程在MA Conference Interpreting Techniques里。Entry Requirements：You must have a university degree, a thorough understanding of two or three passive (C) languages and an excellent command of your mother tongue (or A language). We also consider applications from those with a second active (B) language, with or without a C. Aspiring interpreters should also have a broad general education, analytical skills and an interest in current affairs, along with flexibility, stamina and the ability to work under pressure.

第六，Middlesex的Interpreting。在School of Art and Education系里。專門為中國學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì)的同傳課程。Unlike many such courses, the MA Interpreting concentrates on training interpreters and does not include translation modules.
